My Beautiful ...FIRENZE

Florence for me is the most beautiful city in the world, there's the beautiful architechture of the the historic buildings which are in itself masterpieces, and if we speak of masterpieces, well Florence is the heart of the most beautiful and important art and sculptures of the world. The heart of the most important, artists, poets, explorers, inventors, astronomer's and so on. So many era's are important to the history of Florence, I guess the most important and prolific era was the Rennaisance era, which catapulted Florence into being one of the most important and richest cities in the world. But the 14th century was also a very important one for Florence, and the rest of Italy for that matter as it was in that era that the "ITALIAN" language was born, thanks to the greatest poet of all time, Dante Alighieri. In future blogs I would like to share with you some historic secrets, facts and myths of Fiorenza. Things that probably only a very keen Florentine knows about. I'll introduce you to some nooks and crannies not visible to the tourists eyes. Beautiful historic family crests still visible on the buildings' facades. But today I will share with you... Photos personally taken in June this year of The Florence you see in postcards, just to give you a taste of this beautiful city.
