LET ME INTRODUCE MYSELF......

My mind has open windows and doors which never close, for with such a closure I cut off the very essence of my life...beauty, love and knowledge.

My name is Gianna and I have so many diverse interests, I am married with 2 children ,both teenagers...certainly the most wonderful events in my life.

My formative years were spent in Australia and in 1988 I returned to my place of birth, my beloved Florence, Italy. I lived in this magical city until 2000 when I returned to Australia, I wanted to give my children every opportunity in life and felt that although they were also born in Florence the chances of them fulfilling their dreams was in a country I had grown to love. Apart from my immediate and extended family, Florence is my true love, my heart will always be in this wonderful city, the history and beauty is something I find so enthralling, captivating and enlightening. The home of the Renaissance.....Michelangelo….. Da Vinci…..the Magnificent David..... The Medici Family......the Passion, Pride and Pageantry of Calcio Storico Fiorentino..(Historic Soccer).

My love of dance, particularly Ballet was originated in Australia at a young age and developed into a love affair which saw me trained classically for a period of only 6 years, the last 2 as a fulltime student. It is one of my very few regrets that I did not continue when my goal to become a classical Ballerina was so very close to becoming a reality, I live with that regret but it does not control my life, I still hold that love of dance and it will continue unabated, I have attended performances of Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia and many more, and admire and salute such wonderful Prima Ballerinas as Polina Semionova, Alessandra Ferri, Svetlana Zakharova, Lucinda Dunn, Darcey Bussel and more. I don't live with " if only ",there are so many other "I will " that occupy my life.

I have a genuine love of all things antique, whether they be furniture, fine china or collectables. They all have a story to tell and it is our station in life to continue to treasure them for what they are, where they came from and what they meant to the makers and the original owners.

I find the beauty of life surrounds me, the world at times can be such an ugly place, but the Earth will continue to produce that natural beauty which ensures we push on to higher levels of contentment, our planet is such a wonderful place, we have borrowed it from our children and we must take all precautions to ensure that their children have the luxury that we have been offered…....a place of incomparable beauty..

I have many interests, you may well see me leaving a Ballet Performance heading in the direction of a " Prince " concert or other musical talent. I was raised on music of the 1980's with such favourites as Duran Duran, Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie, and dance music of any performer befitting the openess of the dance floor in those wonderful days.I listen with just as much passion to recent artists who perform on our stages and over our airwaves these very days.
